Information Session and Feedback on Proposed Changes to the BC Building Code

Description

The Province recently launched a public review on proposed changes to the BC Building Code 2023 and is inviting feedback. The next edition of the BC Building Code is anticipated to come into effect in December 2023.

The public review will run until June 16, 2023. Details on the proposed changes and providing your input are available on the BC Codes public review website.

To support member awareness and engagement in the public review process, CHBA BC will be hosting an information session on June 8. Staff from the Ministry of Housing, Building and Safety Standards Branch, will be presenting an overview of the proposed changes to the BC Building Code, with a focus on Part 9 residential buildings.
