CHBA BC Letter to Premier Eby

On April 14, 2026 CHBA BC shared an open letter to the Premier, outlining our significant concerns with the recent PST expansion and the pace of code changes, and urging the government to:

  • Reverse the PST expansion as it applies to professional services that directly support housing delivery.

  • Reverse the BCBC2024 Part 9 lateral load provisions and pause the adoption of the 2025 National Model Codes, with the exception of cost-neutral updates, technical corrections, and stabilizing amendments.
